A: Yes. Each round picks a hidden random time between your min and max, and the game never shows it, so nobody can guess when the potato will pop.

A: Quick is 10-20 seconds, normal is 20-40 and long is 40-70. With custom you can pick anything from 5 to 180 seconds.

A: No. Hot Potato Timer runs in your browser on a laptop, tablet or phone, so just open the page and play.

A: Yes, that's what it's made for. Use the fullscreen icon in the corner of the game, and press Esc to leave fullscreen.

A: No. The ticking and pop sounds are on by default, and the mute icon turns them off. During a round the icons fade away, so move the mouse or tap the screen to bring them back.
